The Whitesire EL gilt is a Yorkshire and Landrace F-1 cross female developed for maximum heterosis from the top two maternal breeds in the industry. The EL offers flexibility to serve as either grandparent or parent stock.

The EL grandparent is selected from the highest indexing sows with attention to phenotypic traits. Consequently she will produce very consistent and functional parent stock gilts. This female will easily adapt, thrive, and last for multiple parities with consistent production.

The Whiteshire EL gilt is genetically designed to work with any of our terminal sire lines featuring Waldo genetics. These include Waldo-Whiteshire pure Duroc, White Duroc, and Hamroc terminal boars that produce market hogs designed for growth, effciency, and carcass value.
